Community Give Back Program

Our program just recently started has already become a huge success.  Sierra Contracting in a partnership with the Village of Ruidoso has come up with a brilliant way to dispose of forest waste and give something back to the community.  For every truck load of forest waste the village brings in, SCI gives back forest compost which can be used in a variety of ways.  The two pictures below show a compost blanket application before and after at the municipal soccer complex in Ruidoso.  Just one month later the fields have already sprouted new grass!  For more information on our great program check out this article published in Biocycle Magazine here.
